RachelRachel Keller is a fictional character in The Ring film series. The fictional character of Rachel Keller was created by Ehren Kruger. Naomi Watts plays the role. Rachel has to look into the past of Samara Morgan the son of her in The Ring Two. Ruth Rachel's sister is adamant Rachel to look into the mysterious circumstances surrounding Katie's sudden passing. Rachel discovers that Katie was healthy and she found Katie's disfigured corpse in the closet. Katie's family members tell Rachel the story of the cursed videotape myth and Katie's best friend Becca being institutionalized for witnessing Katie pass away. Katie's boyfriend, as well as two of her acquaintances died in an accident the same night at 10 at night. Rachel is able to travel to Shelter Mountain Inn and stays at Cabin 12, the exact cabin in which Katie and her companions were watching the videotape with the curse. Rachel discovers the tape and watches it, then the phone rings. Rachel hears a voice utter "seven days". Rachel is identified as Noah Clay as a video analyst by her ex-boyfriend. Later, Rachel discovers that Aidan, her son with Noah had watched the tape as Noah calls her and informs him that he trusts her. Rachel investigates the tape for the lighthouse and finds that it is situated on Moesko Island. This was the home of Anna Morgan, an evil horse breeder cursed to appear on the tape with the cursed name. Rachel discovered that Anna had an adopted child named Samara who could burn disturbing images into the minds and bodies of humans, animals and even objects. Rachel has to go to Anna's widower Richard after she starts asking questions regarding Samara.
